The blue markers are located at the 'put-in' locations for each river. This 'Terrain' style map makes it easy to see the river canyons and surrounding topography. As you zoom in, you'll see topographic lines. (I've also added Marsh Creek as that's a pretty popular spot every spring for early-season trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon.)
Try the following to get the most out of this map:
- Click on the map to select any river, and then click the "+" to zoom in directly to that river.
- Once you zoom to a particular level, clicking on any other river in the list at right will jump you to that river at that level of zoom.
- Click the magnifying glass icons at right to see detailed maps of each river, with major features marked.
- Click the campsite and camera icons to see campsite and scenery photos of each river (via Whitewater Campsites.com).
- Click the 'Satellite' photo view or choose the 'Map' style to see roads and highways.
Enjoy, and SYOTR!
